Bodin Historic Photo is a unique art gallery on Boston’s North
Shore featuring prints made from old negatives, early maps, paintings, ceramics and sculpture. Photographer Fred Bodin displays prints from a
collection of over 10,000 glass and film negatives. Each photograph is hand printed, sepia
toned, and framed, using only archival museum quality
materials. Subjects include landscapes, beaches, grand old hotels, local characters, and famous sailing schooners of New England. Although concentrated on Cape
Ann (especially Gloucester and Rockport), this collection covers a wide variety of
locations - including great National Parks out west in the 1920’s and
Hawaii in the late 1800’s.
Fred also exhibits
his own large format landscapes, sailing ships, and other local areas of interest.
In addition to historic photos, several local artists are represented withIf a photograph on the

credit cards and are happy to ship your picture to you.
If you’re up on Cape Ann - come and visit. We’re open
Monday through Friday 11am to 5pm, and Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Sundays and other times by chance or appointment.
